Experience
I have both an undergraduate and master's degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, which means I know exactly how mathematics and science affect our everyday lives. I know that it is not just important, but vital, that students understand these concepts throughout their education, which is why I tutor all ages and levels, from elementary school to seniors in high school. I encourage students' innate problem-solving skills, teaching them to look methodically at their work, while occasionally providing help or suggestions to steer them in the right direction. Tutoring is not just about learning the right answers, but about learning how to educate yourself, and that is what I aim to teach all of my tutoring students. Problem solving can be fun, but too many kids have trouble learning best study practices while also trying to learn core subjects, and I want to help children learn to enjoy the learning process. I also enjoy sharing my own knowledge with others, so I focus on physics and mathematics when tutoring. My interest in science as a subject means I also enjoy science fiction novels and movies, and I also love to snowboard and work out when I'm not tutoring.
