Why do I tutor? I tutor because I love learning and I want to help others learn as well. Learn not just disparate facts or arbitrary knowledge, however. I want to truly invest my students in the world of whatever field is being studied, whether it be the algorithmic nature of computation in computer science, the abstract world of mathematics, or the multidisciplinary digital medium of video game development. My approach is to prioritize understanding of fundamental concepts to create a strong learning foundation. My work experience: I have 2 years of work experience tutoring children K-8 in STEM subjects, primarily math, computer programming, and video game development. My biggest passion is mathematics. I am always learning more about math, whether it be through watching university lectures or reading through insightful posts from mathematical gurus on Quora. I've played video games for as long as I can remember, mostly Nintendo, and I truly enjoy programming and developing assets for my own games.
